Ayden Heaven gets treatment after suffering an injury against Leicester City

Ayden Heaven left the King Power Stadium with his right foot in a protective boot after suffering an injury in Manchester United’s 3-0 win against Leicester City.

The 18-year-old immediately signalled that he needed attention after going down in a challenge with Patson Daka early in the second half, having once again impressed before the break.

Heaven received lengthy treatment on the pitch and had his right leg placed in a brace before being taken off on a stretcher down the tunnel. But he wasn’t taken to hospital and managed to walk out of the stadium after the game.

The United centre-back walked out of the stadium with his right foot and lower leg in a protective boot but he didn’t need the use of crutches to walk from the dressing room to the team bus.

United head coach Ruben Amorim said Heaven was struggling to speak when he was on the floor getting treatment, with several teammates consoling him as he was down.

“We will see next week,” Amorim said. “It’s hard to understand because even when he’s on the ground, he can’t speak, he doesn’t know how to explain what he’s feeling because he’s so young. It’s hard to understand what he’s feeling.”
