Fans are predicting the details of Rob’s return to Weatherfield after an armed siege was confirmed
Coronation Street fans are desperately trying to predict what happens when Rob Donovan returns to Weatherfield after an armed siege was confirmed.
Carla Connor is recovering from her recent kidney transplant and being kidnapped by Rob, which came after he only agreed to be a donor in order to escape prison where he’s been behind bars for killing Tina McIntyre back in 2014.
Rob came to Carla’s rescue when it was revealed she’d need another kidney transplant after contracting sepsis, after he was approached by his son, Bobby Crawford.
But it was soon made clear that Rob’s intentions weren’t good ones and he tried to make a deal with DS LIsa Swain after she cottoned onto his plan.
He was going to use his stay in hospital as a chance to do a runner with the help of prison officer Mandy, who he was in a relationship with to help further his escape plans. But after the transplant, when Lisa refused to help him like she said she was, Rob turned to seeking revenge.
He’s since been on the run after his confrontation with Carla didn’t go as planned but it has been revealed that Rob will return to Weatherfield to seek out his sister Carla and demand she helps him escape. As armed police surround the house, will Carla and Lisa escape? As a shot rings out, who is the latest victim of Rob’s desperate bid to be a free man?
Some Corrie fans are thinking that Carla and Lisa will be safe from Rob’s clutches, despite evidence of their stand-off. They do, however, think that Betsy could be involved after she’s been distant from the storyline’s main drama so far.

But @st3vie_swarla commented: “Sydney [Martin] mentioned on live w Cait that she’s taken her jelly cat bunny onto set and it’s going to be on the telly. What if Betsy gets shot and it’s a scene in the hospital can’t think why else a Teddy would be in a scene ?#swarla #corrie.”
@Sharron43938021 replied: “Yep that’s what I think..Betsy is taken and Carla gets a Tex from Rob on Betsy phone that’s why she there and then Lisa arrives with the armed police and gets permission to go inside and during this Betsy gets shot then the police gets in the house and shoots Rob dead…”
