The legacy media’s choice for Prime Minister, Mark Carney has so far separated himself from the other leaders in the following way:
– He allegedly plagiarized his doctorate thesis at Oxford University.
– He used tax free Bermuda to shelter Brookfield Assets in which many Canadian pension funds are invested and tried to defend this by saying he saved invested Canadians money by not having to pay high Canadian taxes.

– He was instrumental in moving Brookfield assets to a New York building owned by Trump’s son-in-law to shelter it from Trump’s tariffs.
Meanwhile, some in the legacy media categorize Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre as a “threat to democracy” because he wants to eliminate roadblocks in securing resource extraction permits, develop LNG projects by building Canadian pipelines and eliminate our dependency on American markets.
This would strengthen Canada on the world scene while not exporting so much cheaper oil to USA refineries. This would pay down our deficit and fund our social programs to create a better standard of living.
The legacy media says Poilievre does not spend enough time campaigning about negotiating Trump’s tariffs and he is losing credibility. What defines patriotism?

Make the CFL great again
Considering the unjust trade war imposed upon Canadians by the American government, now is an appropriate time to take back Canadian ownership of the CFL. Currently the CFL employs at least 180 American players (20 per team) plus administrative staff.

We are paying millions of dollars to employ Americans, while Canadians may be losing their jobs. This must stop. The CFL should impose an immediate hiring freeze on American players and replace any American player leaving the league with a Canadian. Canadian athletes are just as good as Americans.
Some may believe this idea is anti American, but I believe it is pro Canadian. The CFL needs to fully support Canadians. If the CFL fails take any action, the fans should consider withholding their support and throw it behind our junior and university football teams. We must support our own, as the Americans damn well won’t.

Houselessness is a key election issue
Canada is experiencing a houselessness crisis. On any given night, more 30,000 people are unhoused in Canada — 824 of them in Regina.
The main cause of this problem is the lack of affordable rental housing — sometimes called social housing and referring to housing with rent that costs less than 30 per cent of a household’s before-tax income. It is incumbent on all levels of government — municipal, provincial, and federal — to address this issue urgently.
