Pete Wicks has told fans he’s ‘back in the thick of’ it as he offered an exciting update on his huge project. It was recently announced that he’ll be returning to the small screen with his much-loved show.

The reality star and podcast host recently confirmed that his show, Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake, will be back for not only two more series but a Christmas special following the success of the debut series earlier this year.

The show, for U+W, had been announced last July with Pete saying it was “a real passion project” for him. And it was last month (April) that Pete confirmed there’s more to come.

Alongside a video of him announcing the exciting news, he wrote on Instagram: “WE ARE BACK… Pete Wicks ‘For Dogs Sake’ will be back on your screens for Series 2, 3 AND a Christmas special!! For me, hearing the news that Series 1 had such a positive & genuine impact on the increasing numbers of dogs being rescued is what really matters.

“The real heroes of this show are the @dogstrust staff & volunteers – the work they do is incredible so expect more episodes highlighting their dedication & commitment.”

He added: “Prepare yourself for tears, laughter and more beautiful souls. Filming starts at @dogstrust_basildon very soon so watch this space … @uandw_ @streamonu.”

Now, Pete has offered an update as he took to Instagram with a string of pictures in which he could be seen surrounded by a film crew. “We are back in the thick of it filming series 2 of For Dogs Sake with @dogstrust and I couldn’t be happier,” he shared.

“I can’t wait for you to see it later this year. It’s already been full of tears and laughter already, the best team and most important of all some unbelievable dogs…”

And fans were quick to show their support. @lisaclark3627 said: “This is your calling @p_wicks01. Nanny Toe Will be super proud. Anyone not knowing who she is needs to read Petes book. And Pete you ARE enough and love that working with dogs makes you happy.”

Love that u love these babies.”

@brigdensamantha posted: “Yay!!!!!!!! So pleased you’re filming another series, your love for dogs is just amazing.” @cal_flanners shared: “Can’t wait Pete to see another series…I’ll have the box of tissues ready.” @annmarie.turner added: “So glad it’s back! Really good series well done Pete.”

Others, however, couldn’t help but discuss Pete’s appearance in the pictures, including his close pal Vicky Pattison. She wrote in the comments: “I’ve never seen a fella look more furious about saving dogs [crying laughing emoji].”

And speaking of Vicky, Pete was seen supporting the reality star and presenter following her return to screens. She has been hosting the new E4 show, The Honesty Box, alongside Married at First Sight Australia star Lucinda Light.

The show sees the pair welcome a cast of singles to a radical dating experiment. The daters arrive in Truetopia, a sunny and romantic paradise, in pursuit of true love. However, there is just one rule: Do Not Lie

Posting a promo pic for the series on his Instagram Story, Pete gushed: “Very proud best mate… @vickypattison. If you haven’t seen it yet… watching it! Available on @e4grams.” Resharing the post to her own page, Vicky replied: “Love you…” with a face holding back tears emoji and pink love heart.
